Based in West London, Surrey we are always exploring new ways to give our clients options that they might not have thought were possible or cost-effective!

We offer several types of loft conversions and our skilled surveyors will take you through all of the possible options for your home.

Different types of loft conversions/roof extensions:

  • Loft Conversions
  • Hip To Gable Loft Conversions
  • Dormer Loft Conversions

General Loft Conversions – One of the simplest and cheapest ways to convert your loft is by adding a fixed staircase and Velux windows. When there is sufficient head space already, there is no need to add a dormer or hip to gable conversion

Hip To Gable Loft Conversions – Popular option for detached or semi-detached properties. A hip to gable loft conversions extends your property by replacing the sloping roof with a vertical wall, also known as a gable. The space will feel more like a regular room rather than the loft space.

Dormer Loft Conversions – A dormer loft conversion is an extension to the existing roof that
extends vertically from the plane of a hipped/sloping roof. A dormer will give you extra headroom, as well as creating additional floor space to create more usable space.

Our complete project management service takes the stress out of planning and supervising your loft conversion project. Right from the start, Addstyle Builders will help you obtain plans and drawings for your loft conversion, assisting with planning and building regulations approval and a detailed and thorough quote.

Once the planning stage is complete, our comprehensive building service will ensure that work is carried out to the highest standards with minimal disruption. Beyond the structural works, we will also take care of your plumbing and electrical needs and our highly skilled tradesmen will be on hand to complete plastering, roofing and joinery work.

Although every project is personalised, a loft conversion typically takes between 4 and 6 weeks.

Most conversion can be done without the need for planning permission. If, however, planning is mandatory, then usual criteria and justification will have to be met. Overlooking, dominating and keeping in character, size and scale to its neighbours will be the points to consider.
